Developing India..!!

Hello…

Myself Mr.Gurudatta S. Joglekar, a fresher to this blog world…

So, let this blog be treated accordingly, as a set of ideas from a fresher…studying electrical engineering in WCE sangli…a so called budding engineer…J

This blog may act as a bridge between the current hot topic of Indo-US nuclear deal and the topic which is debatable from decades about the overall system, rather the body/structure, of government of/in India.

‘Do we relish from the present parliamentary system of government or is this the time to switch on to the presidential system which may serve us better.’

‘Every coin has two sides’. So do both the systems namely, presidential and parliamentary. They do have their own pros and cons and I doubt that the pros of the presidential system overweigh the ones of the present parliamentary system…

As far as the present governing system is concerned, it is nothing but coalition of one government into another, decline of parties, etc. Majority parties are no exception for this..!! Major parties decline [may be all this is preplanned…after all it’s a matter of just 8-10 bundles of hard cash], the minorities take advantage of this and they take the lead, the government is theirs…But, a minority party can hardly represent nation’s interests…Now, stepping towards the next noteworthy point…Is the Hon’ble Prime Minister always a leader..!!?!! Because he may also be elected as a compromise choice of the post election process/coalition…It may happen that too much power is concentrated on the shoulders of the fresh/minor/weak centre..!!! It’s hard to say that the present governing system doesn’t work well…rather this quote suits the situation..:
“It’s messy, but it works !!!”

The present nuclear deal is not a deal as the name goes…rather I will say it’s more of a process which is bringing to light the “Low” of our parliament, rather of the parliamentarians. In spite of the statement by a political leader that ‘the present price of an MP is 25 crore Rs, we have faith in our government. In spite of a politician producing [may be dramatically] a bag full of cash in the house, we say that we have faith in our government…!!! The speaker, amidst all this, should be praised for his noteworthy job.

We, the Indians, vote the legislators even if we do not know them or know a little of them. Looking at the components of this system…Studies say that an MP is , on an avg, worth Rs.1.8 crores. The individual wealth varies from 11,000 crore to Rs.67 crore..!! More to this, a quarter plus have criminal cases registered against them…
In spite of all this we say that we have faith in our government…!!! Cheers…!!!

Agreed, that this system has been running through decades, the present prestige/dignity of India is all due to this system…But, should we just dream of the prestige India would have relished if the above mentioned points would have been eradicated…!!?

The recent phase of the government may be indicating us to switch on from the Westminster model to the presidential system…A strong, capable centre with stiff shoulders to transform the ‘developing India’ to ‘developed India’ as soon as possible is the need of the day…This specific person with the tag of president may be directly elected by the people…for a fixed tenure for sure..:)..may be he will be accessible to both the houses….may be he will eradicate the corruption at different stages of the house [even if it persists, less the number of stages in the house, less is the corruption], may be he will stabilize the [may be]presently unstable India...

No doubt there are some abstract things which may be ignored. e.g., some may say that how can A human being represent such a diverse nation..? Is there any assurance of the interests of the minorities being considered by the person…? What if the person under the tag of a ‘President’ becomes a ‘Dictator’..!!!?!!!!

After all it’s up to us to transform the above ‘may be he will’ sentences into ‘he surely will’ ones..!!!

“ No sensible decision can be made any longer without taking into account not only the world as it is, but the world as it will be…”

start considering career as a journalist :D
And in my view, our 'nation' is just 50 years old, with no experience of democracy in the past.
but... we know one thing best...
hypocracy!!!
so we practice it. Its in our genes man. :D

Good... :-)
That's a really good blog for 1st-time writer like you.. :-)
I really appreciate the points you have tried to bring out.

But you have (a bit) messed it up.
You should have concentrated on either of the points. You have introduced the nuclear deal, the confidence motion being passed yesterdey in the parliament, differnt democracies, growing economy, etc.

I believe you should have concentrated more on either the nuclear deal or the way our parliament works.
